Susie Helland is the founder of Build Your Brave, a retreat and community that brings women together for connection, courage, and meaningful conversations.
Based in Vernon, BC, Susie created Build Your Brave after recognizing how many women were quietly carrying self doubt, feeling unseen, or questioning their worth. What started as a simple idea to gather women in one room has grown into a powerful community and retreat experience that now brings together hundreds of women each year.
Her work is rooted in the belief that when women feel safe enough to share their stories, something powerful happens. Walls come down. Confidence grows. And brave decisions start to follow.
Through her keynote The Build Your Brave Formula, Susie shares the mindset shifts, beliefs, and life experiences that inspired the movement and continue to help women reconnect with their courage and step more fully into who they are.

For over a decade, she has helped people reconnect with their voice and use it with confidence in the moments that shape their lives, whether in conversations, leadership roles, relationships, or everyday situations where they’ve learned to stay quiet.
Jam helps people understand why using their voice feels hard in the first place. She supports them in breaking old patterns that lead to overthinking, self-censorship, and playing small, so they can use their voice with clarity and confidence in real-life situations.
Her work spans both corporate and entrepreneurial spaces. Jam has supported teams and leaders at organizations such as MetLife, lululemon, F5, and Hasbro, and has worked with coaches and creators including Amy Porterfield and Jasmine Star.
At the core of her work is a simple belief: your voice is your ultimate superpower, and when you choose to activate it, everything in your life has the potential to change.

I’m an Okanagan girl at heart, born in Saskatchewan but raised in Penticton, where my family’s adventurous spirit brought us in 1979. After moving to Vancouver in 1992, I built a life centered around creativity, connection, and family.
With a background as a Realtor and Interior Designer, I launched my own Renovation and Design Company in 2005, finding immense fulfillment in transforming spaces. As a mom of three incredible daughters, I’ve also dedicated myself to volunteering, event planning, and community building.
Now, with my daughters pursuing their own adventures, I’m focusing on personal growth and the things I love, like painting and hosting paint nights. I’m deeply passionate about mental health, sharing experiences to help others feel supported and understood.
It was kismet that brought me together with Susie and Stephanie, where our shared vision and commitment to helping women align perfectly. I’m honored to support Susie’s Build Your Brave vision, empowering women to embrace their strength and authenticity.
